Page Scanner is designed from the ground up to respect and protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Page Scanner operates and clarifies our strict stance on user data protection.

Page Scanner is a 100 percent offline, local-first utility tool. The application does not collect, store, transmit, share, or sell any personal or sensitive user data.

No User Authentication or Account Required

Page Scanner does not require any user registration, sign-in, authentication, or login credentials. You do not need to provide your name, email address, phone number, password, or any profile information to use the application. There are no user accounts, no cloud profiles, and no authentication servers associated with Page Scanner. You can use all features of the application immediately upon opening it without creating an account.

Zero Data Collection

Page Scanner does not collect any data whatsoever:

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, contacts, or financial details.
• No Document or Image Data: All documents, receipts, pages, images, notes, signatures, and ID cards scanned or imported into Page Scanner remain exclusively on your local device storage. We cannot view, access, upload, or process your documents on any server.
• No Biometric Data: If you choose to lock your private ID vault using your device fingerprint or face recognition, that authentication is handled entirely by your device operating system through Android BiometricPrompt APIs. Page Scanner never accesses, reads, collects, or stores your biometric templates.
• No Usage or Analytics Data: We do not track how you use the app, which features you use, how long you use them, or your click patterns.
• No Location Data: Page Scanner does not track, collect, or monitor your GPS location, IP location, or geographical data.
• No Device Identifiers: We do not collect Advertising ID, Android ID, IMEI, MAC address, or hardware identifiers.

Device Permissions and Purpose

Page Scanner requests only the minimum permissions necessary to perform its functions locally on your device:

• Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA) — Used solely to allow you to take photos of physical documents, receipts, notes, and cards within the app for scanning. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device in real time and are never transmitted over any network.
• Storage and Media Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) — Used solely to allow you to import existing images or PDF files from your device storage and to save exported PDFs, ZIP archives, or images back to your device storage.
• Biometric and Fingerprint Permission (USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT) — Used solely to 

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent your scanned documents to anyone — they never leave your device through Page Scanner. We do share limited advertising/analytics identifiers (described above) with Google (AdMob, Analytics) and Meta (Audience Network) so they can serve ads and report app usage — this is standard for any free, ad-supported app and is governed by their own privacy policies linked above.

Offline Processing and Data Security

All image processing, perspective cropping, filter enhancements, PDF generation, and PDF password protection occur entirely on your local device CPU and GPU. Your data is stored in the private application directory of your device, protected by the Android operating system sandbox. Because Page Scanner does not maintain any remote servers, there is no risk of cloud data breaches or unauthorized access through our servers.

Data Sharing and User Control

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your data to any third party because we never collect your data in the first place. You have full control over your documents:

• You can delete any scan, page, or document at any time from within the app.
• You can clear application data or uninstall the app to instantly remove all stored documents from your device.
• You choose when and how to export or share your documents through standard Android share sheets with applications you select.

Children's Privacy

Page Scanner does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The application is completely safe for all audiences and complies with global privacy standards, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be published with an updated Effective Date. Since we do not collect contact details or email addresses, we encourage users to review this policy within the app or on our official store listing.
